Find your rising sign
without an exact birth time

Your ascendant changes about every two hours. Give the date, the place and the time range you are sure of, then answer questions about yourself — each has five concrete answers. We compare them with the signs that rise in your window and show the most likely lagna.

Birth data

The time you are sure of

For example, if you were told “in the morning”, enter 05:00–12:00. The narrower the range, the fewer signs compete.

Your answers are kept only in this browser so you can come back. “Start over” deletes them.

    How it works

    1. We calculate which signs rise on the eastern horizon during your time window at your place of birth.
    2. Each question describes five typical variants. Each variant corresponds to the classical traits of certain ascendants.
    3. Your answers shift the probabilities between the signs of your window. The sign with the highest probability is your likely lagna.

This is a free estimate based on how you describe yourself, not a guarantee. The Moon and the Sun also shape character, so treat the result as a strong hint, not a verdict.

    Frequently asked questions

Can I find my rising sign without knowing my birth time?

Yes, as an estimate. Your date and place narrow the candidates to the signs that rise during the time range you are sure of, and your answers about appearance and temperament weigh them. With a 2–4 hour range, usually 2–3 signs remain.

    How accurate is the result?

It is an estimate based on self-description: the page shows a confidence percentage and the alternatives. The Moon and the Sun also shape character, so if confidence is low, narrow the time or answer more questions.

Is the quiz free? Do I need to sign up?

It is free, with no sign-up and no Telegram needed. Your answers stay in your browser only.

Why can my lagna differ from my Western rising sign?

Jyoti108 uses the Vedic sidereal zodiac (Lahiri ayanamsa). It is shifted about 24° from the tropical zodiac, so the lagna is often one sign earlier than the Western ascendant.

How can I find my exact birth time?

Check the full birth certificate or hospital records. If they are not available, the full rectification by dated life events in the Jyoti108 app narrows down the minute within the sign.
